I had gotten a sense of the characters feelings and language, I was unable to put it down. This book reached out to me like no other book has ever done before. it is in this play ''Fences'', by August Wilson that portrays many roles of an African American family that lives during a difficult period of time when Africans were being segregated. august Wilson makes the the play take place in a urban industrial city that one might correctly mistake for Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In the play, Rose Maxson married to troy maxson is a house wife had a difficult time handling her family. Throughout the play, life for Rose was a great challenge, but even though the pain was great, she always holds her head up high and waits for better days. This play teaches us that being able to forgive and go on with your life portrays a lot of who you really are inside and how does one determine when to forgive.
She always finds herself battling between the decisions that her husband, Troy Maxson, makes and with what she thinks is right. Troy Maxson who is in the process of building a fence around his yard which he builds around himself at the expense of his relationship with his family. we also see the fence that his wife, Rose, is trying to build around Troy and her family in an attempt to hold them all together. in the play Bono , Troy's friend states"i see where you and that Tallahassee gal ... that Alberta... i see you all done got tight'' referring to the girl troy is cheating his wife Rose with and later finds out he is having a daughter with. The way that Rose was able to forgive so many inappropriate acts is very astonishing to me and accept to take care of her husband child.
I frankly admire Rose for being able to be a strong women and for sticking to what she says. This play reached out to me like no other play has ever done before.. I wish that everyone that reads this script is able to take a bit of sweetness from Rose and determine forgiveness through that innocent child something that isn't easy.

It feels like i can image myslef in that place and time, and what has happen. The play "Fences" by Augest Wilson that portrays about African Amercain family that lived during a period of time when Africans are stil being segregated still by white folks. Augest Wilson make this takes place in the 1950s at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In the play Rose Maxson who is married to Troy Maxson is a house wife for 16 years and has a very bad time keeping the family together. As you progress thought the play, life for Rose was the greatest challenge, but she held on strong thought out it all. This play teaches us how does one determine when to forgive.
She is always on her feet between the conclusion that her husband makes. Rose asks Troy to built a fence around their house. So she can keep her family together and nothing get between it. In one of the sence Troy tells Rose "im having a baby." It says that Troy is cheating on Rose with another women. Rose forgive so many times of Troys act and yet she accept to take care of the baby girl for Troy.
I can truly say that Rose is the strongest women to stay even knowing what has happen over the years. Forgiveness is a hardest thing to earn. Even you try your hardest you cant easily earn forgiveness. Also a lot of people can relate this play to life experience.

A compelling and well written play. "Fences" by August Wilson, has many different meanings and symbols, from valuing things or people, to self respect, to motivation, to faithfulness, and to forgiveness. The play setting on the land of a black family in 1950's Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A rundown, porch and yard-front home, and a black, racial-discrimination enduring family (given the time period). Troy, the man of the house, who works days on end to provide for his family, Rose and Cory Maxson, When he's not working on the job, hes out front, attempting to finish putting up the fence, something that he thinks will protect his family. A hardworking man like Troy also needs his alone and happy time, but does he go to Rose for that? Truly a must see/read, for any suitable age.
