CNN debate: The N Word

This is your own reflection so make sure it is introspective and respectful. I suggest you re-watch the clip, because you might catch something the second time around that you missed while watching it in class. Think about when the N word is used. We've seen it in literature, we hear in music, on the streets and in the hallways, so now is your chance to comment and reflect on why the word is used and should it be used? YOUR ASSIGNMENT: As young adults, it is very important that you are keeping up with current events and have knowledge about what is going on not only around you, but around the world as well. Your mission, if you choose to accept, is to find 2 current event articles-online, in the newspaper, or on the television. You must have one article that talks about Newark, New Jersey and one international article. After you choose your 2 articles, you will answer the following questions on a piece of paper that will be handed in to me when we come back =)

New Beginnings :)

I have created this blog to serve as a form of communication from me to you, but also for you to use to post things to your classmates. I will be posting regularly and therefore some topics I will expect you to comment on for a grade, and other topics will be posted purely for your enjoyment :) 


So how will this work? In class or through e-mail I will tell you when to check out our blog. If I tell you a comment is necessary then you will need to post your comment and sign your first and last name at the end, so I can give you credit for the assignment.
